“The Nightbird”, Jonathan Wuebben’s pop Magnum Opus, is the culmination of 15 years of songwriting by the artist. Drawing on his musical influences, Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, in addition to his other pop influences (Beck, Weezer & Deathcab for Cutie), Jon has created a new Southern California pop sound with “The Nightbird”.
The Newest Music Publishing Firm in Nashville
Blue Star Dream Songs is the newest music publishing firm in Nashville, TN, led by veteran songwriter, Jonathan Wuebben. Originally from Southern California, he and his wife, Tiffany relocated to Tennessee in 2023 and are diving into the amazing music community that is Nashville.
Growing up in a rural environment just north of San Diego in the 1970s and 80s, Jonathan crafts a new style of country music, one that harkens back to the classic country writers: Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson and a little Randy Travis thrown in for good measure…As well as a dash of the great 70s singer-songwriters like Dan Fogelberg and John Denver.
Known for his ballads, he writes rich melodic tunes with dense harmonics, featuring poetic, heartfelt lyrics. All of his country songs are arranged and produced by Josh Emmons of OmniSound Studios, and many of Nashville’s very best session players have worked with Jonathan, including Carl Miner, Mike Rojas, Jonathan Yudkin, Jimmy Carter, Shawn Fichter & Jonathan Galletti. And Brad Benge & Kristen Rogers on background vocals.
Jonathan’s pop songs are arranged and produced by Pat Pickslay of Pacific Records in San Diego, CA. His pop material is inspired by the music of the legendary Brian Wilson, first and foremost, as well as Pink Floyd, Beck, Deathcab for Cutie and Weezer.
