Blue Star Dream Songs is the newest music publishing firm in Nashville, TN, led by veteran songwriter, Jonathan Wuebben. Originally from Southern California, he and his wife, Tiffany relocated to Tennessee in 2023 and are diving into the amazing music community that is Nashville.

Music has been an interest of Jon’s since he was a young child when his mom would play “Endless Summer” (Beach Boys), Cat Stevens, Stevie Wonder and Elton John records and his dad would play the big band hits of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and Frank Sinatra.

So, this was the musical template of his early years…the incredible late 60’s pop explosion of Brian Wilson tunes like “Good Vibrations” and “Wouldn’t It Be Nice”, to the fresh originality of the 70’s singer-songwriters and the classic standards of the American songbook. Music was in his living room, in his soul and…in his DNA…from the very start.

But to really understand Jon and his love of the American song, his maternal grandfather, Tommy Thompson, played a big role. You see, his grandpa was a poet. And he loved to write. Over the course of 40 years, he wrote hundreds of beautifully crafted, original poems. Odes to his beloved daughters, love letters to his wife, commentary on current events.

It was clear that Tommy didn’t simply like to write, he had to write. It was in him. And that is exactly how it is with Jon. He writes music every single day of his life. Because he needs to. The creative, charismatic, Southern California romantic in Tommy Thompson, someone who had a lifetime love of prose and poetry…Jon is simply his progeny.

Jon is grateful to be blessed with the chance to create music that can touch other people. It is his life’s joy.
